The Cisco ASR 9912 router complements Cisco ASR 9000 series routers by offering superior capacity in an efficient form factor. The ASR 9912 model is built with a comprehensive backplane, which provides the longevity needed to accommodate the high data demand of networks today.
The Cisco ASR 9912 router supports 10 line-card slots, with each slot capable of switching up to 2 Tbps of bi-directional traffic. In its first phase, the system will support 4+1 fabric cards allowing 550 Gbps of non-redundant (440 Gbps redundant) switching capacity.
