HPE SN3600B 16Gb 24/8 8-port Short Wave SFP+ Fibre Channel Switch
Are you struggling to meet the I/O demands of hyperscale virtualization, cloud, or growing flash-based SANs? HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch B-series SN3600B provides Gen6 32Gb Fibre Channel (FC) in an ultra-dense 1U format from 8-ports up to 24-ports, and is affordable for limited budgets. It can replace three generations of FC with its backward compatibility with 4, 8, and 16Gb FC for your investment protection. Designed to build a flash-ready infrastructure, it specifically adapts to business application needs. Applications requiring more throughput and lower latency can also take advantage of NVMe over FC ready support. SAN simplicity is achieved with a simple 3-step install process and SAN deployments with HPE 3PAR all-flash storage are automated using HPE Smart SAN for HPE 3PAR software. Data reliability is enhanced with forward error correction (FEC) by automatically detecting and recovering bit error along with HPE Power Pack+ software, which maintains efficient SAN-health.
Switches bundled with 8 active ports and 8 16Gb or 32Gb short-wave optics as well as 24 active port Power Pack Plus models with 24 16Gb or 32Gb SW optics. The new models include a lifetime warranty.
Port-on-demand (POD) kits includes an upgrade license, activating 8 ports, and 8 Fibre Channel optics. The POD kits are available with 8 16Gb or 8 32Gb SW optics.

- Latency for locally switched ports is reduced to 900 nanoseconds (including FEC) using cut-through switching at 32Gbps ready for latency-sensitive applications.
- Augment with ISL trunking to provide more effective load balancing in certain configurations.
- Integrates with flash storage fabrics that utilize NVMe over FC for latency sensitive applications and greater throughput.
