HPE Aruba Networking 570EX Series Hazardous Location Access Points provide high-performance wireless connectivity for outdoor hazardous locations like oil fields and rigs, mining facilities, and environments with explosive atmospheres and vapors that require Class 1 Division 2 or ATEX Zone 2 requirements. With Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, Bluetooth 5 and 802.15.4/Zigbee radios, and maximum aggregate data rate of 2.69 Gbps, the 570EX Series delivers speed and reliability needed to bring Wi-Fi to hazardous locations. These ruggedized outdoor APs are purpose-built for hazardous locations and can be quickly deployed using Zero Touch Provisioning. HPE Aruba Networking Central provides a single pane of glass for overseeing wired and wireless LANs, WANs, and VPNs. AI‑powered analytics, end‑to‑end orchestration and automation, and advanced security features are built natively into the solution. The 570EX Series include a limited lifetime warranty.

It provides high-performance wireless connectivity for outdoor hazardous locations.
- Supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, including features such as orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA), bi-directional Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO), and Target Wait Time (TWT).
- Enhanced wireless experience with HPE Aruba Networking ClientMatch technology removes sticky client issues by steering a client to the Access Point where it receives the best radio signal.

- HPE Aruba Networking 570EX Series Hazardous Location Access Points are purpose-built to survive in some of the harshest outdoor hazardous locations and can withstand extreme temperatures, persistent moisture and precipitation, and are fully sealed to keep out airborne contaminants.
- Weatherproof and temperature hardened, this series can handle temperatures ranging from -40˚C to +65˚C, including full sun deployments.
- Class 1 Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2 certified for the most extreme indoor and outdoor areas with ignitable concentrations of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids.
IoT Ready
- HPE Aruba Networking 570EX Series Hazardous Location Access Points can serve as IoT platforms that bolster network security and provide coverage for a range of IoT devices without the need for network overlays.
- Supports Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee wireless protocols through an integrated IoT radio, and third-party expansion with an integrated USB port.
- Target Wake Time (TWT) improves battery life of IoT devices.
- HPE Aruba Networking Central Client Insights uses deep packet inspection to provide additional context and behavioral information that help verify devices are receiving proper policy enforcement and continuously monitor for rogue devices.
Enhanced Security
- HPE Aruba Networking 570EX Series Hazardous Location Access Points offer enhanced security with Dynamic Segmentation to remove time-consuming and error-prone task of managing complex and static VLANs, ACLs, and subnets by dynamically assigning policies and keeping traffic protected and separated.
- Offers stronger encryption and authentication with WPA3, protected credentials/keys storage for guest access with Enhanced Open, and user and IoT access policy enforcement firewalls.
- Simplifies policy enforcement by using the Policy Enforcement Firewall (PEF) to encapsulate all traffic from the Access Point to the gateway (or mobility controller) for end-to-end encryption and inspection.
- For enhanced device assurance, HPE Aruba Networking access points include an installed Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for protected storage of credentials and keys, and boot code.
- Advantages of OFDMA
This capability allows Aruba Wi-Fi 6 AP to handle multiple Wi-Fi 6-enabled clients simultaneously on a single radio. Channel utilization is optimized per transaction by matching allocated bandwidth in a channel to the offered user load. These sub divisions of the channel are referred to as Resource Units (RUs). - Aruba Air Slice for extended OFDMA assurance
Initially, APs in controller-less mode (Instant) can provide SLA-grade performance by allocating RUs to specific traffic types. By combining Aruba's Policy Enforcement Firewall (PEF) and Layer 7 deep packet inspection (DPI) to identify user roles and applications, the APs will dynamically allocate the bandwidth needed. Non-Wi-Fi 6 clients can also benefit. - Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO)
The 577EX AP supports downlink MU-MIMO similar to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2) APs. With the introduction OFDMA in Wi-Fi 6, the overhead for this capability is reduced and MU-MIMO effectiveness is substantially improved for large client counts. - Wi-Fi 6 and MU-MIMO aware client optimization
Aruba's patented AI-powered ClientMatch technology ensures that all clients are attached to their best serving access point. Session metrics, network metrics, applications and client type are used to identify and maintain the best connection. - Advanced Cellular Coexistence (ACC)
The ACC feature uses built-in filtering to automatically minimize the impact of interference of high-power cellular base stations, in building-distributed antenna systems as well as small cell and femtocell equipment. - Intelligent Power Monitoring (IPM)
Aruba APs continuously monitor and report hardware energy consumption. APs can be configured to enable or disable capabilities based on the available PoE power - ideal when wired switches have exhausted their power budget.
