The Intel TXN31115 quad-rate Small Form Factor pluggable (SFP) optical transceiver is Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) compatible. It provides integrated duplex data links for bi-directional communication over multimode and single mode optical fiber. The transceiver module is designed for high-speed Fiber Channel data links. This rate-agile transceiver module can also operate at the 1x and 2x Fiber Channel rates and the Gigabit Ethernet rate (1.25 Gbps) without the use of a rate-select pin.
The Intel SFP optical transceiver uses 850 and 1310 nanometers wavelength light sources that support link dis tances up t o 10 km. This SFP module has an LC duplex receptacle interface compatible with the industry-standard LC optical connector. The module is Class 1 laser product compliant with FDA radiation performance standards and international safety standard IEC 60825 and IEC 60950.
