As the demands of top-tier networks continue to grow, there's an equal push to put as much bandwidth as possible at the edge of the network. This is what the new MS425 line of Layer 3 Meraki switches are designed to address. These aggregation switches go beyond previous MS420 series switches to include two 40Gbps QSFP+ uplinks for large businesses, campuses, and managed service providers that need to feed their extended networks as much bandwidth as possible.

There are two variations on the MS425, with either sixteen or thirty-two 10-Gigabit SFP downstream ports, for maximum capacities of 480Gbps and 800Gbps, respectively. Both models feature physical stacking of up to eight units for further aggregation and greater efficiency in switching, as well as robust virtual linking options.

Like all Meraki products, they are exceptionally easy to implement and manage. No command line usage is necessary. Deployment is zero-touch, and all management happens through the user-friendly Meraki Dashboard GUI. The Dashboard gives admins oversight of an entire Meraki network, top to bottom, in a single-pane-of-glass interface.
