Meraki Z4
The Cisco Meraki Z4 teleworker gateway is an enterprise class firewall, VPN gateway and router. This device offers wireless connectivity with WiFi6, five gigabit ethernet ports, including a built-in PoE-enabled port for VoIP phones and other PoE powered devices. The Z4 is designed to securely extend the power of Meraki cloud managed networking to almost any location.
The Z4 includes a wide variety of features for such a small box. It includes a Gigabit Ethernet WAN uplink, along with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. Multiple SSID support allows it to work with both the local network it's attached to, while also allowing direct VPN tunnels which run at 250Mbps. The Z4 offers Unified management for security, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, switching, MDM, and IoT
Additionally, it hosts a full stateful inspection firewall running at 500Mbps which can be enabled as needed. On top of that, it also packs in an 1 GbE; LAN: 4 GbE (1x PoE-enabled port); Wi-Fi: dual-band 2x2 Wi-Fi 6
All this can still be overseen and managed through the Meraki Dashboard system, when it's connected and in use, just like any other Meraki device. Administrators have full control over its permissions and usage, and it gets access to any network-wide security protections as well. The experience for the user is virtually identical to connecting to any Meraki device in the office.
